A LITTLE LOCAL KNOW-HOW

Arrive curious.
Travel prepared.

From preparing for Brazil to meeting your driver, a little local know-how makes every journey easier.

BEFORE YOU SET OFF

A little preparation.
A better journey.

Practical habits for your arrival, city days and travels further afield.

TRAVEL NOTE 01

Check your travel documents

Before departure, check passport, visa and entry requirements for your nationality with a Brazilian consulate. Requirements can change. Keep secure copies of your documents and your accommodation details separately from the originals.

TRAVEL NOTE 02

Plan for distance and traffic

Brazil is a large country: a short-looking route on a map may take longer than expected. Allow extra time for airport journeys, city traffic, rain and major events. Share your appointment or flight time so we can help plan your pickup.

TRAVEL NOTE 03

Keep your essentials connected

Save your hotel address, booking details and RioWeGo contact information on your phone and offline. Arrange mobile data or roaming before arrival, keep your phone charged and carry a power bank for longer days out.

TRAVEL NOTE 04

Know your payment options

Brazil’s currency is the real (BRL / R$). Keep a modest amount of local cash for small purchases and check card charges with your bank. Use authorized currency-exchange providers and keep valuables discreet. Your RioWeGo quote will identify the payment currency.

TRAVEL NOTE 05

Pack for your itinerary

Check the forecast for each destination, rather than assuming the weather is the same across Brazil. Comfortable shoes, light layers and rain protection are useful for changing plans. Check your accommodation’s socket and voltage requirements before packing electrical devices.

TRAVEL NOTE 06

Enjoy the city thoughtfully

Keep bags and phones secure, use well-lit routes and ask your hotel or local host about current conditions. At the beach, take only what you need and keep belongings attended. Book attraction tickets through official channels and check opening hours before setting out.

RIOWEGO TIP 01

Choose the service for your day

Choose an airport or point-to-point transfer for a direct journey, a chauffeur by the hour for several stops, or a private experience for a tailored day out. For nationwide travel or a more complex itinerary, contact us to confirm local availability.

RIOWEGO TIP 02

Send complete pickup details

For airport arrivals, share the flight number, arrival date, airport and destination address. For hotel or home pickups, include the full address and any entrance instructions. Double-check local pickup dates and times, especially for overnight flights.

RIOWEGO TIP 03

Confirm the right vehicle

Tell us the total passenger count and the number and size of your bags. Mention strollers, oversized items, child-seat requests and mobility needs before booking. Request an armored vehicle in advance if needed; suitability and availability must be confirmed by our team.

RIOWEGO TIP 04

Arrange your airport meeting point

Keep the agreed pickup instructions and contact details handy. After landing, allow for immigration and baggage collection. If you cannot find your driver, contact RioWeGo using the details in your confirmation rather than leaving the meeting area without checking.

RIOWEGO TIP 05

Plan stops and language preferences

Share must-see places, scheduled meetings and your preferred pace before the service. Tell us if you need a bilingual driver and your preferred language. Confirm attraction tickets, admissions, extra stops and any additional charges with the team when planning your itinerary.

RIOWEGO TIP 06

Keep us informed and review your confirmation

Tell us promptly about flight delays, address changes or additional passengers. Review the date, route, vehicle, price, payment arrangements and pickup instructions in your written confirmation. Extra time or itinerary changes may affect the fare; check our Terms & Conditions before travel.

Keep the latest information handy

Check the Brazilian government’s visa guidance, Central Bank currency information and your home country’s current travel advice before departure.
